After let linux user wait for so long, Adobe just released Adobe AIR for Linux Alpha. Note that it's jus alpha if you eager to try. I already downloaded and installed on my Ubuntu Hardy as adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin. Just run it as usual.

chmod +x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin
./adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin

The installer executed gksu automatically. And behind the scene is dpkg -i. Yes, it is just a deb.
