Yesterday I found a good news regarding ATI Catalyst 7.12. This version is a kind of bug fixes, there is no new features added this month. Anyway, I decided to upgrade from 7.11 because newer should be better. While installing I realized other interesting facts.

1. ATI Catalyst 7.12 now supports Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy!
2. fglrx now requires dkms, a part of Dell Linux Project. In other words, fglrx will be rebuilt automatically according to each kernel upgrade. No need for manual compilation by module-assistant.
